Job Description:
St John's is a lively Evangelical Church based in Linlithgow with a congregation of around 250 including a large number of young families. We are looking to appoint a part time Children's Worker to join our ministry team and lead the work for the 0-12 age group (over 100 on a regular basis).
The role encompasses leadership of our children's work and efforts to equip parents to raise their children to follow the Lord. There is substantial scope for development and the post would suit someone with the ability to start new initiatives. While it includes significant direct work with children, working through others is also a key component, reflecting the scale of our existing children's ministry.
Do you have a passion for children to meet Jesus and for families to be changed? Do you have a gift in working with children? Are you ready to take on the challenge and opportunity of a large congregation full of young families and a growing children's ministry? Then come and join us as we follow Jesus together.
To succeed in this exciting role you must have:
- A clearly articulated Christian faith; formal theological training is preferred;
- Experience of Christian service;
- Strong team skills and an ability to work flexible hours.
