Vandals attack Carstairs Junction kirk

In what some villagers are calling the final straw following a spate of crime, Carstairs Junction's kirk has come under sustained attack by vandals with one of its original 125-year-old stained glass windows being destroyed. Church officer Bill McDonald said that the congregation, recently twinned with that of Carstairs Church, will be hard-pressed to find the thousands of pounds to replace the window.
