Keeping faith
Feature on Catholic adoption agencies in Scotland, focusing on the Glasgow-based St Margaret's Children and Family Care Society. "With so many families looking to them for support and advice, it is as yet unclear what the future holds for St Margaret's. Each year in Scotland, Catholic adoption agencies account for around 40 out of 180 children placed through agencies, and the Catholic Church insists that it wishes for their agencies to continue operating in some form."Looking at all the letters and photographs from families who have worked with St Margaret's to create happy homes for so many children, I can only hope that a compromise can be found that allows them to do so."
