Praise be! Work is underway

Work has started on a new £1.5million building for Woodhill Evangelical Church in Bishopbriggs. Church elder Derek Harley, the project co-ordinator, said: "The design is modern and the main sanctuary will cater for around 300 people. The expanded space will let us do more work with the community."

The church has approximately 200 members. The increased space offered by the new building will allow for more activities to take place, such as classes in parenting skills and events for children.

The current church building was opened on September 6, 1969 and was known as Woodhill Gospel Hall. The name was changed to Woodhill Evangelical Church in 1986.
