Centre's new windows are a glass apart
Stained-glass windows designed by some of Scotland's leading 20th-century artists have been unveiled at an Edinburgh community centre after a year-long project to save them. The 20 windows have been restored in Morningside's Eric Liddell Centre thanks to a £120,000 project funded by Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The stunning designs are among the most valuable modern stained-glass windows in the country, but poor materials and years of wear and tear had left them badly in need of repair.
They include masterpieces by Scottish artists William Wilson and John Duncan.
