Stepping up the campaign for Holyrood

The British National Party is wooing the Christian vote in its campaign for the Scottish parliamentary elections on May 3. With a slogan of 'Make us 2nd', the party is urging voters to vote for a BNP candidate on the Regional List.

A new campaign leaflet quotes 'Charlie', a man pictured working as an electrician: "I used to vote Labour, but as a Christian and a self-employed tradesman I can no longer support a party that panders to radical Islam and imports cheap foreign workers, instead of helping our own unemployed. So now I’m standing for the BNP!"
