New minister joins Airdrie High Church

The Rev Ian McDonald (32) has been ordained and inducted as the new minister at Airdrie High Church. He is originally from Huddersfield but moved north to Scotland’s capital city in 1993 to begin a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio-chemistry at the University of Edinburgh.

During his second year in the city he became a Christian while attending Nicolson Square Methodist Church.

He graduated in 1997 before beginning a Bachelor of Divinity degree in Systematic Theology which took three years.

Then in 2000 he began a four year science/theology PHD before graduating in 2005.
