We're taking steps to cut carbon footprints
The head of Christian Aid Scotland, Gavin McLellan, on the Cut the Carbon march organised by the charity which will pass through Scotland for two weeks from 15 July 2007 and stop off in Edinburgh for a rally on Saturday 21 July."It is easy to get upset (and rightly so) about the effect of climate change on wildlife - we are good at that in this country.
"But it can be harder to get the public's attention about the immediate effect of climate change on people who are living in the developing world. These are the people who are most affected by the changes in the environment but who are the least able to withstand the problems that these changes have brought about. Christian Aid believes it is an issue that cannot be ignored. It is a matter of morality."
