Robert will run to give African kids an encore

Robert Connell of Paisley’s Elim Christian Fellowship will compete in the London Marathon on Sunday, April 22, to raise funds for a return visit by the Singing Children of Africa choristers, who visited Paisley last year.

The Fellowship played a major role in organising transport and accommodation for the children’s visit so they could fulfil their many singing commitments.

And caring Robert was a member of the hospitality team that ensured everything ran smoothly so the boys and girls could stage concerts to raise more than £7,000 for an orphanage in their home village of Utange, near Mombasa, in Kenya.
