Sister Rita's an Aintree tipster

A gambling nun has been signed up as a racing tipster after a Grand National winning streak.

Charity fundraiser Sister Rita Dawson has managed to pick the victorious horses three years in a row.

As she has only ever placed £2 bets, her winnings have amounted to just £126.

But the publicity generated brought in donations worth thousands more for the St Margaret of Scotland hospice in Clydebank, near Glasgow, where she is based.

Now her success has led to her being made a tipster for Radio 4's Today programme.
