Christian Democrats pledge to act against Trident in the Scottish Parliament

Candidates elected to the Scottish Parliament for the Christian Peoples Alliance party in the May elections will take every opportunity to oppose the replacement of Trident.

At a meeting of the Executive of CPA Scotland, party Leader Teresa Smith pledged that the issue of Trident would guide which parties CPA would work with in the event of a hung Parliament.

She also rejected the arguments that Holyrood cannot get involved in the issue as defence is reserved to Westminster.
