Getting ready for prayer week

Auchterarder Parish Church are busy preparing for a week of continual prayer. From Sunday, May 6, the church hall annexe will be transformed into a 24/7 prayer room. Plans are underway to create an environment which will allow and encourage people to take time and space to pray.

Rev Julia Bartholomew explains: "We are encouraging people from all walks of life and faith to join us in prayer. We hope the prayer room will provide space and opportunity for folk to relax, to think, be creative, quiet or noisy. It's a fantastic chance to put time aside and to meet with God."

The week will be divided up into hourly slots, day and night, which can be booked in advance.. Alternatively there will be daily slots between 7am and 9am, 12noon and 2pm and 5pm and 7pm when the room will be available to all for a time of open prayer.

Stephanie Heald will be speaking about prayer and 24/7 prayer rooms at the church’s 9.15am and 11.15am services on Sunday, May 6.
