All faiths will be embraced
Shetland Inter Faith, a new body embracing all faiths in the isles, is being launched next week during an inaugural meeting in Lerwick.Shetland Inter faith is the successor to the Shetland Inter Faith group which has been meeting from time to time over the last five years.
The new body is expected to have a membership drawn from the Bahá'í, Buddhist, Christian and Muslim faiths as well as any other faiths based in Shetland which are affiliated to the Scottish Interfaith Council at a national level.
The Shetland Inter Faith steering group has been supported in its development by Shetland Council of Social Service. Anyone wanting further information is invited to contact Kate Gallant on Lerwick (01595) 743905.
