Organist honoured for 70 years' faithful service
Cardinal Keith O'Brien has presented James Sands, who played the organ at St John the Baptist RC Church in Corstorphine for more than 40 years, with the St Andrews Medal for outstanding service on Sunday.Mr Sands, now in his late 80s, was surrounded by friends and family as Cardinal O'Brien praised the work he had done for the church where he has worshipped for 70 years.
