Scotland mission trip goes on: Church group's leader says authorities were quick to act after airport bombing
A 14-member mission group from Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, Georgia, is continuing its outreach in Glasgow, despite the weekend terrorist bombing at the city's international airport.Elizabeth Ormsbee, minister of preschool and children at Lakewood, is leading the delegation which includes adults as well as high school and college students.
"We were about to leave to go to a 50th wedding anniversary party when we heard about the bombing," Ormsbee said in a telephone interview from Scotland.
The group is conducting the mission trip as guests of Penilee St. Andrew's Parish, Cathcart Trinity and Orchardhill Parish churches in the Glasgow area.
