Elliot is new convenor of SCVO
Dr Alison Elliot, former moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, has been appointed convener of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations.She replaces Joan Stringer, principal of Napier University, who has come to the end of her tenure as convener. Elliot is a former psychology lecturer, an honorary fellow at New College at the University of Edinburgh and the associate director of the Centre for Theology and Public Issues.
