Sectarian songs list in battle against bigots

The SFA are compiling a list of sectarian songs to ban, to make it easier to clamp down on bigots. A group has been set up to decide which songs to include on the list.

SFA supremo Gordon Smith said yesterday: "Certain songs should be banned. We've spoken about putting out a list but we haven't done that yet. I'd like to. There are people looking at this.

"There is a charter on unacceptable behaviour, so we are dealing with that.

"Nobody wants to get to a stage of defining what's offensive but I think it's something that should be looked at."
