Yobs beat dad in front of his children
A dad was attacked by a bottle-wielding gang of drunken teenagers as he played with his kids in a swing park. The children, aged three and eight, were so traumatised they needed counselling.
Selkirk Sheriff Court heard how 30-year-old David McCloud had taken his kids to the park on the evening of the Melrose Rugby Sevens in the Borders in April 2006.
Words were exchanged when Aaron Douglas, of Newtown St Boswells, Roxburghshire, fell into the eight-year-old girl's path.
He then squared up to Mr McCloud with a Buckfast bottle.
