Cyclist amazed by huge donation

Greenock Christian Charlie Forbes was amazed to hear that a businessman had given £2,500 towards a charity bike ride he did in Israel last year.

Charlie cycled 230 miles in the Holy Land raising around £2,500 for Inverclyde Christian Initiative.

That total has now been doubled thanks to the massive single donation.

Charlie said: “A Glasgow-born Christian businessman was back up in Scotland and read about the bike ride in a magazine.

“He was so pleased to see Christian thoughts in a general magazine that he got in touch with Inverclyde Christian Initiative, asked how much had been raised and said he would double it."
