Scots to sponsor Ekwendeni Medicals FC
Ekwendeni Medicals, who are set to join TNM Super League following there crowning as Simama Northern Region League champions, have found a sponsorship from their Scottish beneficiaries. The side, which is under Ekwendeni CCAP Mission Hospital that falls under Livingstonia Synod, were named champions over the week end after finishing the league with 82 points.
Livingstonia Synod was established in the country by the Scottish missionaries in the 18th century and they continue to financially support the church.
The club’s team manager Mcmillan Matewere said they immediately wrote a group of Scottish Presbyterian organisations on the urgent need for sponsorship following their crowning as champions.
“They have responded positively and have since asked us to send our annual budget as soon as possible,” Matewere said.
