Donkey called Porridge helps create stir for Palm Sunday
A donkey led a procession through Aberdeen to mark the start of Easter Week yesterday. Ministers and the congregations from two Aberdeen churches followed Porridge the donkey as a reminder of Jesus’s passage into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the start of the most holy week in the church calendar.The procession started at St Mary’s Episcopal Church in Carden Place and paraded through local streets to St James’s Episcopal Church at Holburn Junction.
