Mary's Kenyan dream almost complete
A charity coffee morning next Saturday could seal one woman’s remarkable church building project in one of Africa’s poorest regions. The event, at Haddington’s Trinity Centre from 10am to 12.30pm, is the latest in a series of fund-raisers organised by big-hearted Mary Wallace on behalf of St Peter’s Presbyterian Church of East Africa at Ihindu, Kenya.
In just two years, Mrs Wallace has raised an incredible £15,500 towards the £17,000 cost of building a stone church at the remote settlement, 50 miles north of Nairobi.
