New furniture store will help jobseekers
A charity organisation has opened a new shop, selling 'pre-loved' furniture, in Glasgow's East End.Beulah Scotland Gallowgate shop is part of a new community project to provide a service to the area as well as training and volunteer placements to help people learn 'soft skills' and get back into work.
It is the latest venture for Beulah Scotland, which already runs a similar project in Wishaw, Lanarkshire.
The original programme has been running for 15 years, starting with a small church-based charity shop selling second hand items and bric-a-brac.
