Moderator offers some comfort to embattled leaders

The moderator of the Church of Scotland [sic], the Rev David Lunan, has revealed he is “proud” of Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Scottish Labour leader Wendy Alexander.

He said he applauded the fact both Labour politicians had upheld the strong values instilled in them by their Kirk minister fathers and practised them during the course of their work, which is often unappreciated.
