Rector leaves after just 14 months

Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Haddington is seeking a new rector after Father Paul Keown resigned to take up a new post with the Church of England in Surrey.

Fr Keown and his wife Carolyn, who have three sons aged 18-22, will head south next month.

They arrived in Haddington just 14 months ago when Fr Keown transferred from a posting in Wales.

He said: “There is no specific reason for me leaving.

“We’ve made some good friends here in Haddington and really enjoyed our time at Holy Trinity.

“I just feel its time to move on.”
