Moderator set for a busy week

The Moderator of the General Assembly will set up temporary home Kirkcaldy next month, as part of his ongoing tours as the representative of the Church of Scotland for 2008/9.

The Right Reverend David Lunan will be based in the town from August 23 while undertaking a week-long programme of visits to various churches, charities, schools and organisations across Fife.

His packed schedule includes visits to Kinghorn, Pathhead and St John's parish churches in Kirkcaldy, and meetings with various church members and local ministers.~

Mr Lunan (63), is also set to tour landmarks such as Fife's Maggie's Centre, Victoria Hospital, the Harbourmaster's House in Dysart and the Forbo Nairn factory.
