Priest's holy spirits
A priest has boosted his dwindling flock — by holding services in a pub.Father Philip Blackledge, rector of St Peter’s Episcopal Church in Linlithgow, hosts religious chats once a month at his local boozer, the Four Marys.
And even the pub’s regulars have started joining in with the laidback sermons.
Fr Blackledge, 34, said: “It’s all about meeting people on their own territory. The pub works as a place where everyone can talk about what’s on their mind, but in a church environment.”
