Firies and Sally Army liaise

A new initiative to supply welfare to victims at emergency incidents was formally launched in Dundee today.

Under the new scheme, members of the Salvation Army will work alongside Tayside Fire and Rescue personnel to provide emergency shelter and catering to accident victims.

The collaboration between the two organisations, who gathered at the Blackness Road station in Dundee today, is the culmination of more than a year’s planning and preparation.
