Pupils unite in a bid to stamp out all bigotry

Three Bonhill primary schools are uniting to send out an important anti-sectarian message. Staff, pupils and teachers at Ladyton, St Ronan’s and Highdykes have pledged to battle bigotry with a series of special events.

Backing the initiative is Bonhill minister and avid Celtic fan the Rev Ian Miller, who has worked for many years to encourage tolerance between different denominations.

Together they hope the week in May will demonstrate the positive moves being made on “the hill” to stamp out sectarianism.

The trio of hill schools have always worked closely together but decided they wanted to do something on a large scale to prove their close relationship.
